Highly recommend this very authentic experience while you are visiting PV. I knew a little about Mexican day of the dead traditions but Gia really brings it to life through her stories and own heritage. If you appreciate art and culture you will appreciate this glimpse into the history of real Vallarta via the cemetery tour. We did Vallarta Ghost Walk with Gia while visiting PV last month. It was a great experience! It is such a great way to learn about the local culture, folklore and get some steps in :). I highly recommend the tour and will definitively do the Cemetery walk next time we visit. Also, we met by the Layla's Restaurant. Make sure to grab dinner there before the walk. Food and cocktails were phenomenal!
We had a fantastic time with Gia! She was very knowledgeable about the history of Puerto Vallarta. It is clear she loves her city and its culture and history. It was fun to hear stories about how PV has grown over the years. Throw in a couple "spooky" stories and it made for a very fun night!
what an amazing experience! Gia was our guide for the downtown tour and she walked us through the city telling us cool facts about Puerto Vallarta that we would've never known otherwise, and then all the history of the ghosts and how they came to be known by many locals. Highly recommend to anyone interested in the supernatural and even how Puerto Vallarta came to be what it is today!
Had the pleasure of doing both the cemetery tour and the historic downtown tour and both were beyond enjoyable! Gia did our tour and she’s a natural, she kept it lively and entertaining while sharing Puerto Vallarta’s rich culture! I learned so much and absolutely loved all the stories. Extremely knowledgable guide who shared interesting historical facts about the cultural significance of the murals and tombs in the cemetery to instill deep meaning into the experience. She also shared personal history about family tombs, and lead a ceremony to share meaningful personal death stories. Then it got spooky! She follows with a walk to the most haunted spots in the cemetery and recounts real paranormal events experienced by locals in the area including residents with view that overlook the grounds! This is a fantastic activity for everyone, and is definitely appropriate for all ages.
